Ben 10: Alien Force Rant

BEN 10: ALIEN FORCE SUCKS. They aged all the characters and matured them. This is not edgy. This makes them devoid of personality! Part of the appeal of Ben 10 was Ben and Gwen bickering! It made them more real! They weren't the emotionless hero robots that they are now. I mean, it was the fact that they fought but were also friends that was appealing. They were human. And they gave Ben a girlfriend. A GIRLFRIEND. Isn't this cartoon's main audience young boys? Young boys are not particularly interested in romance. Trust me, when I was their age, I wasn't. And I'm a girl! And don't even get me started on Kevin Levin. Actually, I'm going to start anyways. KEVIN LEVIN SOUNDS LIKE A POTHEAD. And when I was searching Youtube for episodes with Kevin Levin in them, ALL I GOT WERE VIDEOS OF THE JONAS BROTHERS. GFJOCER:KNJRTKSDLNMVDFKLMBNLKDRMF:WERgvdlfkm Kevin was a villain, and they turned him into a love interest. KEVIN. WAS A VILLAIN. AND THEY TURNED HIM INTO. A FREAKING. PERSONALITY DEVOID. UNINTERESTING. LOVE. INTEREST. AND HIM AND GWEN AREN'T EVEN DATING. THEY'RE JUST PINING AT EACH OTHER. Which is WORSE because then the writers devote time to their little awkward scenes when they could be having AWESOME ALIEN FIGHT SCENES! "I'd feel better if I could lean on you longer." *smile at each other* *look away quickly* _{(Amusingly enough, though, it was Kevin who said that.)} And their powers. Giving Ben more aliens means the writers can't think of a good plot with his old aliens, so they just made him godlier. And I guess Kevin being able to absorb things is pretty cool. And Gwen is now randomly a black belt? You can't get a black belt in five years.. >.> And apparently she gets magic powers from her grandmother? Wait a second. Verdona, the person Gwen gets her magic powers from is both Gwen AND Ben's grandmother. Why doesn't Ben have magic powers, too, then? And that's another thing! Where's Max?! *looks on Wikipedia* So he's off doing plumber stuff. Laaame. And also, Wikipedia compares Alien Force Kevin to Ben Ten Max. They changed Kevin's personality so he would be more like Max? LAME.

Oh, and Ben's girlfriend is Asian because if she was white, critics would accuse the show of racism.

Sooooo.. I don't feel like writing about my life except to say that I will take donations for a PS3 or an Xbox 360. XD

OH, and I just finished the book The Singing. It's the last book in the Pellinor series. Good series, good book! Although, (I'm gonna complain about romance again) it seems like Alison Croggon was just pairing the six characters traveling together at the end of the book. I mean, yeah, you can assume Cadvan and Maerad would have a romance, but I'm not kidding, I swear it wasn't brought up until the last few chapters of the last book. It's like, Hekibel was like, "Hey, Maerad, you like Cadvan, right?" and she was like, "BWUHWUHWUHWUH-ME?  ...  Huh, I guess I do." Well, my joke is that Hem, Maerad's brother, and Irc, Hem's pet crow, were the only two characters left without lovely ladies. This keeps making me think of Hem whining about not having a woman, Irc looking at Hem with the sparkly-eyed anime look, and saying "Well, you could always try me." And then I imagine Hem slappin' dat ho'. In case, the Pellinor series is a great read! Lovely fantasy.

In any case, The Secret Saturdays is on, and I'm working on a good picture.
